Vinmonopolet is a governmentally owned retail chain selling all alcohol beverages with more than 4,7% alc in Norway.  They seek new products by publishing tenders for different products. They publish tenders 2 times a year and launch new products every second month.

Our main goal is to find the best products for each tender and then follow the product seeking long term listing in Norway.

Step by step:

 

If you find suitable tender for your products you need to fill out the “tender form” you find on our website and send us 4 sample bottles of wine over 75 cl, 2 bottles of 70 cl spirits and 6 bottles of beer and wine below 75 cl bottles, that we need in our office before the deadline.  This is very important as the deadline is final.

 

It is possible to send tank samples for the tenders but the bottles need to be marked with following information. Name of wine and producer, alc%, volume, vintage, 

 

As the Vinmonopolet only accepts offers that fulfills the specification 100%, please make sure that the products you send us meet the conditions.

 

After sending in our offer to Vinmonopolet the results are published apr. one month later.  Then they choose winner or winners by blind tasting the wines.

 

The winner will start sale in the Monopoly shops apr. 5 months after the deadline for the tender and the listing can be either “basis listing” or “single purchase”

 

Basis listing is listing for one year in 60 – 300 shops depending on the decision of the Vinmonopolet.  After one year the wine is competing in it segment for its position.

 

Single purchase is one purchase or fixed number of bottles purchased by the Vinmonooplet.
